Ongoing Constructions Sometimes Scare Me
Last week, I finally had the chance to chill out a bit and go to the mall. The mall is not really that far from our school. Actually, we usually walk everytime we go there. Well, it is not that near our school but not far enough for us to spend a couple of coins just to reach there.
Anyway, it had been my first trip there eversince September so I was unaware of the new "developments" there. The last time I saw the ongoing construction of a building, you can't even tell how the building is supposed to look like.
When I passed by the construction again, I was a bit shocked that they already had a hole dug there. It was really deep! And yes, I think they are not constructing a huge building there. Why they dug a hole I have no idea. But during the previous months, their "activities" were not visible to the public because they had walls all over the place.
And need I mention what they used for digging the very deep hole? It's a totally huge equipment and it really looks heavy too. The mere sight of it scared me a lot. Why? What if something bad happens? What if the huge equipment all of a sudden malfunctions putting the construction workers' life in danger? What if it falls down and we get hit by it?! And what if the operator is not that skilled enough to handle such big machinery? Haha. I know I really sound paranoid. But really, everything is plain unpredictable. You'll never know what will happen next.
So aside from making sure that the huge machinery is at its best, construction workers should be enrolled to a heavy machinery school or something like that for safety purposes. I guess it is one of the many things the man behind the construction should be concerned about.
I don't think heavy machinery schools are that expensive. And even if they were, I personally think it is necessary. Don't you agree?
