How to install a cable broadband modem
Once the task of subscribing to the internet service provider is over, next comes the
issue of installing the cable broadband modem into your computer. Those people who use
dial-up internet connection, will find that an additional device is required in the form
of network adapter. A network adapter will facilitate the platform to create a rapid net connection Interface. Some network companies provide the manual for installing the cable broadband modem in their website. Some service provider does the installing part by themselves.
Most people today have an affinity of high speed Internet connection. However many are
bewildered as to how a cable broadband modem works and how is the installation of the
modem carried out. In reality the installation depends on the type of computer,

3) Wait for the "data" link on your modem to become still.
4) Right-click the My Network Places icon and select Properties.
5) Right-click the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties.
6) Double-click the line in the network components list that includes TCP/IP.
7) Make sure that the Obtain An IP Address Automatically option is selected.
But there are many people who may not be familiar with these kind of technical steps
to be performed. Some of them are even unable to detect the presence of the device.
That is why network companies offer proper support service which would address
the prior issues first. They progress in a methodical manner to go about installing the modem. These kind of support is normally done through phone or website.
Once the whole process is mastered, people will realize it is rather easy to install a broadband modem, so much so that they are able to tell it to their friends and enjoy a faster net speed altogether.
